About Grishma V.

I am an artist & illustrator based in Canada, working mainly with watercolour and ink.

I spent many afternoons as a child scraping a paintbrush across paper, sunlight from the window puddling around my little bottles of poster paint. It felt as if time didn’t exist for me in those moments. 

Since then, my fascination for living mechanisms led me into rambling adventures in science across three continents. I now strive to recapture that feeling of timelessness while making art, to convey the vitality of the animate and inanimate with a sense of joy, curiosity and playfulness.
